Thanks very much Rick, I think Ill have to give the link above a few listens, Im not sure if it would help but if you feel inclined, it would be great if you could perhaps do a video on time, rhythm and syncopation (maybe with a couple examples for illustration..sometimes it helps me absorb the information if its explained in a few different ways :-) I really appreciate your help, Im also going to check out Mike Longo’s stuff (since Hal Galper mentioned him an another video on youtube). Thanks again!

Wow, thanks very much for the detailed and thoughtful reply and for the recommendation for the drum app (Im downloading now :-) This gives me some structure on how to practice which is great and Ill definitely pick up the book in the near future since it looks like a goldmine!

Thanks very much Rick, that’s a great idea, Ill work them out myself once I memorize G form. I thought about working it out but I wasn’t sure what the best way to proceed was. (I was thinking about moving on to a different form after G but I like your idea of moving up one fret at a time to cover the entire fretboard using G form first). Like you said, it will also help with everything else (like spelling different chords etc). Thanks again for the reply and for the lessons!

Hi Rick, thanks very much for the response, as for suggestions, anything you put up is fantastic, if you do feel inspired though, I do love the tunes ‘Misty’ and ‘Georgia on my Mind’ (not sure if they’re ‘standard material’ or offer enough unique musical ideas to warrant a lesson, I just enjoy the melodies on the tunes :-) On another note, I loved your lesson on Autumnal Eves (another favorite tune of mine). I’m just learning, but your walking bass line lesson on that song was great, Im going through it now and its coming along with practice, using the shell chords make it easier the play as well with the bass, now when I hear someone like Joe Pass play a walking line/chords I have a small idea of how he puts it together, which is cool!
